garage biennale: science fair meets worlds fair
Through the interspersing of scientific & artistic practices we find how much we have in common. How both the artist & the scientist can test a theory. How we can explore an anomaly. How we can investigate a point of curiosity. We push ourselves into the liminal spaces, past the point of everyday human understanding. We push ourselves towards expanded knowledge by engaging not just with our initial questions, but by the set of new questions that our experiments produce.
This exhibition incorporates a broad sampling of inventors, explorers, thinkers, investigators, scientists & artists. The work appropriates, coopts & otherwise uses the language of science & industry. This language becomes its subject, form & substance.
This exhibition is intended to inspire the viewer to go forward & conduct their own experiments. With that in mind, science labs have been provided as a jumping off point. We are also going to have ?Science Saturdays? while the exhibition is mounted, where there will be lectures, demos & projects. We look to sharing our experiments with you.
